It was just announced that Digium, the makers of the most popular open source PBX system, is receiving $14 million in funding for further development. While the promise of VOIP is somewhat blown out of proportion, the Asterisk PBX system has already shown to be a competitive system that costs a fraction of commercial systems. [...]
